Ever since I was in junior high in Oakland, CA, girls have complimented me on my calves. Back then, I wasn't out yet. It wasn't until I turned 16 that I came out to my mom, after watching a PBS special on out gay teens in Canada. I think we've come a long way to accepting gays and lesbians in the US since then, but the Pulse shooting in FL shows there is so much more we can do to end homophobia/transphobia, racism, and hate. For now, the gains are incremental. This is what #Pride means to me. (? collab with @coryjlawrence). #igdc #WHP? #
